Job Description
Position: Welder – TIG
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Speers and Bronte
Payrate: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour to start
Dayshift (6am to 2pm 8hrs, 5-days a week-Monday to Friday) and afternoon shift (2pm to 12am 10hrs, 4-day week-Monday to Thursday) Training in morning
Job description
Our Client is a world class precision manufacturer of metal components and sub-assemblies that use metal cutting, forming, machining, welding, assembly and paint. We use state-of-the-art machining and fabrication techniques in a lean, self-directed work team manufacturing environment to produce high value-added, cost-effective products for our strategic partners.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
- Perform welding duties in accordance with work instructions and inspection sheets, and technical drawings.
- Understand and comply with Company Health & Safety standards and programs
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Welding Certificate or Diploma
- Valid CWB welding ticket is an asset
- 5 + years of welding/fitting experience – TIG Welding
- TIG welding experience is a must
- Experience with forklift, jib/overhead cranes is an asset
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5-23 kgs.
- Ability to work safe and independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Written and oral communication in English.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: CAD 27 – CAD 29 Hourly, (Depending on Experience)
- Medical & Dental after 3 months
- Flexible with hours of work - able to work Day/Aft shifts and OT as required. • RRSP
