Job Description

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of grease and oil. They are looking for an experienced purchasing office manager to manage administration/purchasing and maintain production levels.

  • Position: Purchasing Office Manager
  • Location: Islington/Queensway (Etobicoke)
  • Payrate: $30.00-$35.00/Hour DOE
  • Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate competitive pricing for raw materials, packaging, supplies, capital equipment, etc.
  • Demonstrate ability to procure raw materials and containers required to meet production requirements while minimizing inventory and the associated holding costs. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of purchasing controls and procedures and ability to recognize opportunities to streamline/ automate/ purchasing/ office systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to supervise and motivate subordinate staff. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to oversee smooth running of the office.
  • Demonstrate the ability to supervise the work of subordinate office staff.
  • Demonstrate the ability to process weekly payroll.
  • Demonstrate the ability to oversee issues related to staff discipline, and other union related concerns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or relevant experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience in purchasing
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with the other departmental managers.  
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate between customers and production department to arrange efficient and effective delivery of new and existing products
  • Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office software
