Job Description

NIGHT SHIFT- 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM Monday to Thursday

Position Summary:

The incumbent in the weld cell operator position will carry out a variety of routine duties in the manufacturing environment.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand and complete all production paperwork, accurately recording and completing all daily production activity as trained
  • Load and unload production parts into preprogrammed weld cells (both MIG and Projection Welding) following the general operator instructions when operating equipment
  • Perform quality inspections at set frequencies as required to ensure the product being manufactured conforms to customer requirements
  • Assists machine operators in the “packing” of product into containers as outlined in the packaging instructions in the operator job book and/or as directed by your supervisor or lead operator
  • Any reasonable request made by management

Education:

Successful completion of Grade 12 and / or equivalent work experience

Requirements

Experience:

  • Training provided by client
  • Previous Robotic Mig/Projection welding cell operation experience preferred

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently and meet minimum quotas and quality requirement
  • Ability to prioritize daily duties to ensure all work is completed
  • Works well with others
  • Takes the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing floor
  • Lifting materials up to 50 lbs
  • Standing/walking for long periods of time
  • Must wear ear and eye protection at all times
  • Fast-past environment
