Our client is an AI computer-vision venture, founded in 2018 based on an exclusive license we purchased for IP invented by MIT.   The company develops IP and products for Media and Entertainment businesses, including smartphone OEM and App Publishers, Professional Video Production Platforms and Broadcast Graphics Solution providers.


They are currently looking to hire for the position of Intermediate Machine-learning Engineer.


The Machine Learning Engineer will develop new machine learning applications for image processing, most of which will be based on the use of Fully Convolutional Neural Networks.   The new applications will deal primarily with various forms of 2D-to-3D conversion, depth map generation, stereo image processing, etc.

Relocation: The company will assist in administrative procedures and cover basic costs of re-location including US work permit/visa


The responsibilities will include:


  • Making modifications to existing learning models to customize them for specific applications.
  • Developing and modifying software applications that are used to optimize the processes used to gather and preprocess data that is used to train the learning models.
  • Developing image processing software that will be used to modify images that are produced by the learning models.
  • General software development including developing software to integrate the learning applications into client software systems, sometimes through the use of a defined API and sometimes through the use of custom-developed code.

Candidates for this position should possess the following background and capabilities –


  • Advanced degree in computer science with an emphasis in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.  
  • A specific background in Convolutional Neural Networks used for image processing is desired.
  • Advanced skills in stochastic processes and mathematics including calculus, linear algebra, Bayesian statistics, etc.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working on machine learning development programs – especially those that involve fundamentally new applications of machine learning technology and especially those that deal with image processing.
  • Extensive data modeling and data architecture training or experience.
  • Background in systems that deal with large-scale data processing.
  • Programming experience in Python, R or Java
  • Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications
