Job Description

 

Our client in Oakville is looking for an MRB Engineering Specialist. As an Engineering Specialist you will be reporting to the Manager of MRB Engineering, you will be responsible for evaluating non-conforming material on landing gear products. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing disciplines, customer and regulatory agencies during production
  • Coordinate resolution of service related issues in conjunction with airline and other OEM customers
  • Coordinate activities between production, manufacturing and design engineering
  • Resolve problems and introduce product improvements
  • Evaluate engineering drawing change requests from in-house manufacturing and suppliers
  • Liaise with customers on site to resolve issues on the aircraft production line for Landing Gear issues and Flight control issues
  • Investigate and provide disposition warranty components
  • Perform Engineering investigations in to failures and participate in Cause and Corrective Actions
  • Investigate/Disposition warranty components
  • Provide engineering support on in-service problems to Product Support
  • Ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of problems by developing solutions
  • Follow good Engineering practices and analysis methodology
  • Liaise with manufacturing to clarify and provide engineering input during the manufacturing process
  • Provide engineering support to Product Support i.e. MRB, Salvage schemes, and engineering change proposal
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in aerospace - landing gear experience preferred
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T – being able to read engineering drawings (2D and 3D)
  • Good understanding of computing tools and programs including Microsoft office applications
  • Proficient with CATIA V5
  • Good understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of FAA and EASA certification requirements
  • Familiar with PLM and ERP systems such as SAP, Matrix, SMARTeam, Citrix
  • Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR & CCGP
