Job Description


Our client in Oakville is looking for a Manufacturing Methods Supervisor. In this position you would be reporting to the Focus Factory Manager, as Supervisor, Manufacturing Methods - Processing, you will lead a team consisting of Quality, Process Planning, Tool Design, and chemical processing to support Linkage and Flow, continuous improvement, safety, schedule and cost.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive safe work practices and adherence to company policies and procedures including evaluating and developing standard work instructions
  • Drive and execute activities resulting from Linkage and Flow
  • Investigate opportunities and initiate actions to improve first pass yield in support of On Time Delivery
  • Plan and prove out manufacturing methods utilizing C.I. tools; maintain continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing methods
  • Provide shop floor support and resolve quality issues (non-conformances) by providing assistance in defining and eliminating 'root' cause (RCCA Process)
  • Oversee preparation of programs, tool designs, MPS's, APS's, routings, control plans and rework schemes
  • Ensure departmental compliance to quality procedures
  • Participate in new project implementation, producability studies and contribute to proposal labour and methods development
  • Support and/or participate in C.I. events/activities
  • Act as a coach and mentor to improve employee performance and engagement
  • Perform on-time and effective performance reviews as well as coordinate and control Overtime and Vacation Schedules
  • Confer with other supervisors and Production Control to coordinate activities to adhere to production schedules
  • Support budget development process and monitor performance to plan
  • Monitor and support work off shifts
  • Perform other duties as assigned





  • Relevant College Diploma/University Degree or educational equivalent with 5 years' experience across various manufacturing processes ( metallurgical or chemical education/experience would strongly be preferred)
  • 5+ years supervisory experience is required
  • Strong ability to read, and interpret Engineering Drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations is required
  • Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence and technical documents is required
  • Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment is required and aerospace environment would be considered an asset
  • LEAN / Continuous Improvement experience / LP Certification would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to create an environment of continuous competencies improvement through training and accountability
