Our Client is a company that produces automation in the medical, defense, aerospace, nuclear, automotive industries.


This position is for skilled controls/programmer looking for a long-term career in a diversified company that builds some of the most sophisticated automation and tooling in North America.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design complete control software solutions using various vendor software and hardware platforms (PLC based, PC based, etc.).
  • Develop new and enhance existing PLC programs
  • Work with team members including electrical and mechanical design teams, project managers, and shop floor personnel from project start to final machine runoff.
  • Evaluate new technologies to develop industry leading solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years full time work experience with automation systems programming/design.
  • University degree or college diploma in automation or engineering.
  • Proficient with PLC and HMI programming.
  • Experience with RS Logix (Studio) 5000, Factory Talk View Studio ME/SE, OMRON, SIEMENS, PROFACE.
  • Data integration from the collection of factory floor data to the presentation of quality and production reports, using SQL databases, OPC/UA drivers, and various HMI/PC presentation platforms.
  • Industrial robot programming (off line and teach pendant).
  • Setup and programming of vision systems, motion control systems, and industrial automation networks.
  • Control Systems electrical design through Solidworks or EPlan
  • Experience with servo motors, ballscrews, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems.
  • Military defense and medical automation experience
  • General knowledge in military equipment, THAAD System, and medical equipment familiarity.

  • Strong work ethics.
  • Ability to receive security clearances / cross border.
