Our client is an AI /Software company. They are on a mission to rid the world of annoying feedback surveys and terrible customer service experiences. Their AI powered platform analyzes calls/chat/emails in real-time and is helping businesses improve their customers’ experience with every interaction!


Based out of Waterloo, ON, They are a uniquely Canadian start-up founded by professionals who have years of industry experience, and a board of investors who have a proven track record of success.


They are looking for a Data Scientist on their team who can help them scale our operations to the next level. You will be working with a fantastic team of highly skilled engineers to plan, build and grow their product to new use cases.


The opportunity is specifically for those who enjoy taking on a challenge of building new systems/processes and grow with the company to take on a leadership position.

Who are they looking for?

A builder, thinker, tinkerer who has:

  • Worked with Python, MongoDB, NLP/ML libraries (Sci-kit, Pytorch, Huggingface, etc.)
  • Nice to haves: Apache Airflow experience, Docker, GCP
  • Experience building APIs and backends
  • If you’ve actually deployed something, we’d love to hear!
  • Ability to understand business use-cases and customer stories, and transfer them into technical requirements
  • Passion to solve challenging problems, in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to break down complex solutions into simple explanations that facilitate discussion/debate and consequently, improvements
  • Effective ability to explain complex ML topics and results to non-technical people

What will you do?

  • Build proof-of-concepts for new features/functionality and own it end-to-end
  • Work closely with our customers to understand their use cases, collect feedback and take our solution to the next level
  • Maintain existing codebase – bug fixes, improvements and customizations
  • Help improve global customer support systems by providing customized feedback for support agents
  • Build complex statistical models that learn from forever changing data at scale
  • Build data pipelines from several sources, outputting key metrics
