Our client in Oakville is looking for a Master Scheduler who will provide direct support to the Program Manager for the execution and development of assigned military aerospace landing system programs. As the Master Scheduler, you will determine customer requirements and translates these into organizational plans which may include the development of; Statement of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Risk Assessments, and schedule metric generation/reporting.  In order to manage all activities related to execution from development through production, the Master Scheduler shall possess a high level of understanding of the Program and will proactively address schedule conflicts with a multi-discipline team.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides analysis and product development initiatives for manufacturing, program and support organizations.
  • Working with the Program Planner, develops and establishes lead time requirements and identifies production constraints.
  • Supports program planning requests for the development of new and derivative products.
  • Leads, directs, facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across multiple BU’s, product groups, suppliers and partners.
  • Develops project plans for realigning work statement to support production requirements and meet company strategy for work placement.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the development, implementation and training of processes and tools.
  • Develop proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules.
  • As a key member of the IPT, responsible for developing, integrating and maintaining the IMS reporting to the Program Management team.
  • Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning) and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action.
  • Integrate supplier partner plans into the IMS to ensure identification of critical path items.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Develop & maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Integrated Master Plans (IMP).
  • Experienced in scheduling software such as MS Project.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
  • Scheduling metrics generation & reporting.
  • Ability to prepare and present various types of reports to all levels of Management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to apply organizational, planning, management, problem solving & execution skills to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good command of written and verbal communication skills.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Extensive knowledge with developing & maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) & Integrated Master Plans (IMP).
  • Expert level user of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Ability to integrate Cost and Schedule with regard to EVM.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management experience within the aerospace industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work complex issues, and meet deadlines.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related.
  • Minimum of five years master scheduling and production control experience
  • Background in management of kanban and pull scheduling

ERP and/or MRP experience required, preferably SAP
