Job Type: Full Time – Permanent
Title: Chief Compressor Operator

Location: Mississauga
Pay Rate: $28- $30 per hour + Benefits

Shift: Days (8am-4pm)




  • Understand the importance and impact of the quality policy while performing any/all aspects of the Stationary Engineer designated duties including but not limited to the following:
  • Lead 4th class Stationary Eng. /Compressor Operators working on continental shift
  • Responsible for monitoring and performance of all stationary equipment
  • Operate and maintain stationary mechanical equipment (air compressors, chillers, tower, water treatment, air dryers)
  • Read meters and gauges at specified intervals daily to verify operating conditions
  • Visually inspect equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, lubrication
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and components, greasing, oiling equipment, hydraulic oil tank flush, filter changes, water filter element changes
  • Mechanical troubleshooting, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, PLC, perform corrective action and minor repairs
  • Record operations and maintenance actions taken as well as data recording (temperature, hours of operation, pressure, water consumption etc.)
  • Shut down and start up utility equipment as necessary
  • Fabrication and welding, cutting, erections, installations
  • Racking and storage supply management, physical inventory of spares and consumption of spares
  • Be safety and quality conscious always and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Use good manufacturing practices to maintain hygienic security while working at a machine or within the facility and demonstrate good housekeeping practices
  • Perform all other duties as required


  • 3rd Class Operating Engineer/ Compressor Operator Certification
  • Specialty high pressure air compressor operator (TSSA requirement)
  • Skills in problem solving, analysis, ability to multi task in a high paced environment
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Millwright certification
  • Follow ISO certification policies
  • Prior experience in plastic blow molding manufacturing a definite asset
  • Post-Secondary education
  • Eligible for full time employment in Canada
