As for responsibilities, commonly seen requirements shown in job descriptions may include some or all of the following:
- Inspect, replace, and repair ceiling, sidewall, cockpit, and doorpanels
- Replace and repair seats, overhead bins, and galleys
- Replace and repair flooring, curtains, carpets, washroom modules, and air conditioning ducts
- Replace passenger service units and entertainment equipment
- Install path lights and emergency lights

- Able to use a variety of tools
- Strong communication skills
- Able to read and interpret engineering documents
- Practical fabrication experience
In order to become an aircraft interior technician, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
