Job Description

We are currently hiring for Electricians in the Brampton area.
**Candidates must be able to work days and afternoons when required**
Days- Mon to Fri 7 am to 3:30 om
Afternoons- Mon to Thurs 3 pm to 1:30 am
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Machinist is responsible for operating and maintaining various machines in the Machine
Shop and carry out quality checks to ensure the job is being completed within tolerance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Machinist or equivalent experience required
•Grade 12 education or equivalent required
•Minimum of 3 years related experience required in machining
•Operating knowledge of various machines (Boring Mill, Lathe, Radial Drill, CNC Boring Mill,
Surface Grinder and Bridgeport Mill) and hand tools
•CNC programming and set up abilities, an asset
•Good mathematical skills
•Good communication skills
•Must have own tools
•Ability to work as a team member and individual

Requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Program, maintain and operate various Machines (Boring Mill, Lathe, CNC Boring Mill,
Bridgeport Mill), tools and related equipment accurately and efficiently
•Read and interpret blueprint drawings to tolerances
•Carry out quality checks on an ongoing basis to ensure job is within tolerance using precision
measuring tools
•Make tool selection
•Layout and inspect set up of various tooling and equipment
•Design, build or modify new and existing tooling as required
•Anticipate and solve problems
Communicate necessary information to Assistant Supervisor and co-workers from shift to
shift
•Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy
sources, including stored energy
•Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform
tasks in a safe manner
•Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas
•Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and
always use them properly
•Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents
and produce good quality products
•Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous
Improvements
•Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are
supplied to our customers
•Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
