Job Description

This position is responsible for the entire manufacturing process of hollow metal doors and frames. Previous experience with turret and brake presses is essential.

Location: QEW & North Service Road in Burlington

Shift: Mon- Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm

Salary: $60k-$100k

Essential Functions

  • Handles hollow metal doors and frames weighing from 60 to 150 pounds
  • Programming and operating sheet metal machines.
  • Performs fabrication on these products including:
  • Welding parts together
  • Using jigsaw or other power tools to cut holes in doors and frames
  • Installing vision kits and glass in doors
  • Reads Work Orders and Product Templates to establish necessary fabrication to be performed
  • Other relative duties as assigned
Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience CNC Programming/operating with sheet metal machines
  • Experienced in programming turret punch press and press brake
  • Forklift certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware
  • Must have a full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds occasionally. Standing, reaching, walking.

 

Work Environment

Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting and use of welder and other power tools. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
