Job Description

Our client designs and fabricates a broad product line of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and confectionery equipment for coating, mixing, blending, granulating and drying.  

Position:$22.00 per hour

Shift: 7:30am to 4pm Mon-Fri or Afternoon shift :2pm-12 midnight Mon-Thurs (please let us know if you are flexible for either shift)

Location: Hwy 404/Hwy 7 (Richmond Hill, ON)

 

One is contract, and the other is a permanent role after 3 months of probation

 

  1. Control the flow of materials into and out-off the facility
  2. Receive, Identify, sort, log and properly store incoming materials
  3. Maintain records of amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on-hand, using manual and/or computerized inventory system.
  4. Inspect and verify materials against invoices or other documents
  5. Record shortages, rejected materials and notify Purchasing.
  6. Operate forklift, hand-truck or other equipment to load/unload materials and store goods.
  7. Prepare goods for shipment, through evaluation and application of appropriate product packaging and crating requirements
  8. Read, understand and apply policies/procedures/instructions/forms to perform work tasks in a safe and appropriate manner.
  9. Plan, review, organize and perform the efficient receipt, release and storage of materials.
  10. Calculate weights and dimensions of loads
  11. Perform daily safety checks and maintain in good order loading/unloading equipment.
  12. Comply with MSDS for the handling of chemicals.
  13. Maintain clean work area and follow good housekeeping practices.
  14. Quality--Demonstrate accuracy, precision, etc. in performing work

  16. Safety--Demonstrate safe working practices

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but is not limited to:

 

  1. To recommend solutions all matters pertaining to the successful operation of the Manufacturing Department as they relate to the flow of orders through the system.  
  2. To recommend major capital expenditures for the addition and replacement of machinery and equipment to the shop foremen.

 

 

 

Requirements

EDUCATION (including: CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS)

 Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.

 EXPERIENCE:

 Relevant work experience

Drivers license  

Good organizational skills

Possess current Drivers license  

Forklift license would be an asset

 DEGREE OF SUPERVISON

Under the direction of the Shop Foreman the employee will be expected to achieve minimum performance levels through their working tenure. These will be reviewed on an annual basis. To be considered SUCCESSFUL, the employee must have demonstrated their ability to meet or exceed the prescribed minimum levels.

 

LEVEL THREE

Within 12 weeks

LEVEL FOUR

Within 26 weeks

LEVEL FIVE

Within 52 weeks

This position will be working in manufacturing plant setting and therefore will be exposed to the hazards: noise, heat, dust, welders flash, moving machinery (ie. Forklifts), and acids which require the use of protective equipment.
