Our client is seeking a talented Control System Programmer / Systems Integrator with 5-7 years of proven experience in managing and executing Municipal Water/Wastewater and Industrial automation projects.


The Candidate must have 4 years minimum experience with the City of Toronto PCS standards. This position has the growth potential to manage the complete Automation department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create new system application PLC program code using prescribed specifications and control narratives to specific Customer standards and requirements. Will involve various Municipal standards.
  • Develop, implement, test and deploy SCADA programming, databases and graphic screens using relevant software (Proficy iFix, Rockwell Factory View, Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition)
  • Develop or assist in the development of FAT/SAT documentation for projects according to specifications.
  • Perform hardware and software FAT/SAT as required.
  • Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of End User.
  • Confer with users to gain understanding of needed system changes or modifications of existing programs while maintaining a “out of scope” log or change requests to capture project extras.
  • Write or assist in writing maintain programming and project documentation.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, proposal and estimate in detail to gain an understanding of project scope, issues and timeline.
  • Provide training and mentorship for junior programming resources.
