Job Description

Title:   Blowmoulding Trainee

Type: Full Time – Permanent

Location: Milton, ON

Payrate: $16 -$17 per hour

Shift: Currently rotation (D/A)- rotates every 2 weeks – It may or may not include nights as well   

Shift Premium: Additional on top of regular payrate -   $0.50 per hour for Afternoons and $0.75 per hour for Nights

 

Responsibilities

 

Under the direction of the Blowmoulding Operator the trainee will observe and learn the requirements of the machines and the bottle production process

 

  • Ensure the blowmoulding machines are operating in a safe, efficient and continuous manner
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks on newly produced bottles
  • Ensure continuous supply of dye, resins, adhesive and nylon to the machines

 

Specific Tasks

 

  • Ensure the blowmoulding machines are operating in a safe, efficient and continuous manner
  • Ensure that the machines are operating in a safe, efficient and continuous manner according to the production schedule and the work order
  • Maintain an inspection sheet by entering daily information regarding machine activity
  • Assist in the maintenance and report all problems to the operator in regards to equipment.
  • Execute minor mechanical reports where necessary to assure that the machines are kept in good working order
  • Conduct ongoing quality checks on newly produced bottles
  • Ensure that the molds and products specs are standard with our SOP process
  • Maintain the quality of the bottles by inspecting the bottle feed line and ensure all bottles are trimmed and ready for fill
  • Ensure continuous supply of dye, resins, adhesive and nylon to the machines
  • Ensure that colour changes are coordinated in a manner to eliminate or reduce downtime and waste
  • Maintain shift preventative maintenance requirement, filter changes and cleaning of material handling equipment and necessary pre-shift lubrication
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by superior

 

Work Environment

 

  • Manufacturing and blowmoulding environment that maybe subject to higher noise levels requiring use of hearing protection
  • Required use of proper PPE at all times
  • Must apply and follow all Safety and Health related company policies.
Requirements

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent training/experience
  • 3-5 Years of working experience in a production environment
  • Good English, written/verbal
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Basic knowledge of equipment and production line process
