Our client is a manufacturer of solar panels. They are looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians

This is a permanent opportunity

Troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, which includes electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems, while working from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and equipment specifications.

Working primarily on voltages up to 600V (AC/DC), you will:

  • Run new power supply lines to new/relocated equipment according to IEE wiring regulations, Electrical Safety Code and company policy;
  • Wire new control panels according to supplied drawings and verbal instructions while adhering to Hydro Codes and other applicable standards and regulations;
  • Recognize and diagnose faults on electrical equipment or systems, which may involve complex  interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems and complex sequencing
  • Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, valves, etc
  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required Work side by side with experienced technician during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices
  • Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Supervisor as required by provincial regulation
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times
  • Hands-on experience applying hydra-electric, electro-pneumatic and electro-mechanical theories is a must as is the ability to work well with minimal supervision and take initiative.
  • Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
  • Ensure compliance of all Company policies
  • Ensure personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act is maintained at all times and recommends measures to improve health and safety
  • Ability to work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production

Requirements
  • Must be a licensed 442A industrial
  • Must have at least 5+ years experience working on industrial machines
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • Great attitude and able to be flexible within 3 shifts (days/afternoons/nights)
