Job Description

This position is located in Brampton.

Candidates must be able to do both days and afternoons when required. Day shift position - 7 am to 3:30 pm Mon to Fri

Night shift position- 3 pm to 1 am Mon to Thurs. Lots of overtime!!


The Spray Painter is responsible for painting components and preparing work-pieces for the painting process.


• 3 to 5 years’ experience working in industrial spray painting an asset
• Familiar with metal fabrication environment
• Knowledge of compressed air spray process, respiration and the safe handling of combustible and flammable liquids and paints
• Good organizational
• Good communication skills
• Successfully complete a pre-placement medical and functional abilities examination based on performing the essential duties of the position


• Orientation, WHMIS, Forklift, Propane and Lockout Procedure, ISO 9001 Awareness and Departmental Policy and Procedure Requirements, On-the-job development



  • Paint work pieces by hand and/or using industrial spray gun
  • Prepare various work pieces to be painted (taping, grinding and deburring)
  • Mix paint while ensuring proper identification and colour codes meet customer requirements
  • Maintain stock of paint, supplies and other related equipment required
  • Perform required cleaning and scheduled maintenance tasks of paint booth and maintain updated maintenance records
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner
  • Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner
  • Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas
  • Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly
  • Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products
  • Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements
  • Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customers
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
